Nipple pain after 6 months of no problems?

My 6 month old dd just got her 2 front bottom teeth and I started having nipple pain. It feels like it did when we were first starting out and she didn't have a good latch. I am pretty sure she is covering her new teeth with her tongue so I am not sure what the deal is.

She seems to get frustrated when nursing, popping off a lot and loosing her latch sometimes and moaning like she is in pain. She doesn't do this all the time, but most of the time.

I am not noticing any yeasty symptoms in me or her. It just feels pinchy!

Why is it hurting SOOO much?????

I wish I had an answer for you, but I'm in the same boat. I come on here with the same question as you have! My dd is almost 9 months and just got her two bottom teeth. We have had no problem until now. I thought maybe it was thrush because my nipples are killing me - they burn, are reddish colored, and keep getting little blisters on them. But she has no thrush symptoms at all. I tried putting lasinoh on this morning, like I had to do when we were first starting out, and it helped a lot! I feel like my dd has forgotten how to latch on correctly. She seems to be nursing on just the nipple, tucking her top lip under, and her tongue is not covering her teeth. I can't figure out how to get her to do it correctly again!
