Be prepared for your older child to double in size and weight (but not necessarily maturity)! I can barely lift Delia now just because she seems SO huge.

My friend's 20 month old looks really grown up to me now, too.

I read about this phenomenon in Adventures in Tandem Nursing. Dd looks huge to me already, she actually is, the other day she hugged a little girl several months older than herself and she is bigger!

if this happens, oh poor me

ds is 18 months old and is almost three feet tall and weighs 40 lbs, dear good, I cant imagine him being 6ft tall and 80 lbs before he hits two

I totally feel for you! DD is nearly 23 months old, 35" tall and about 35 lbs.

And it's hard enough picking her up right now, so I can totally see how challenging it will feel in comparison to the baby.

Isn't that the weirdest thing??? I remember being so amazed every time I looked at DS or changed his diaper or anything after having my DD. My brain was very confused LOL
