Hi from Texas

Hello,

Longtime lurker here deciding to introduce herself. I hope to participate in discussions now and then but often go through periods when I don't even have time to turn on the computer much less sit down at it. I'm sure most of the members here can relate to that

Dh and I have two children - 5 and 2 3/4 - and an assortment of animals. We are in the process of building a cob home and are striving to minimize the footprint we leave on the planet.

I chose my username because when I've asked both kids what nummies tasted like they've both responded "chocolate" or "chocolate truffles". Now that I've revealed my favorite dietary indulgence, I look forward to joining in and finding some support and sense of community but please be patient with me as I nudge my way into the boards. It takes a while to learn the "personality" of an online message community.

Peace,

Sara

Hi!

Glad to have you!! Why don't you jump over to the Finding your Tribe section and go to the one with Texas in it and see if you're near anyone!! If you're in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, we're currently trying to set up a play date for next Tuesday....if not, there may be something going on in your area!

Hi Sara.

I'm excited to hear about your building project! My husband and kids have big fantasies of building a cob house out here in nor-cal. I have two great boys 6 11/12ths and 11.

Welcome and let me know about your building progress if you like, I'm totally into it!

Hi - Glad you decided to de-lurk! You sound like a busy household...I can relate to not always finding the time to put the computer on!

Welcome!

Thanks for the hearty welcome!

saffronblue, we've only managed to complete our stem wall. It's been too (blessedly) wet to work lately. Now that it's starting to dry up a little, we're anxious to move forward.

I'm near Austin, btw.
