I can't labor like this...

This weekend I got hit with some sort of achy/feverish/sore throat bug... It totally halted any and all efforts we were making to speed things along. I can't imagine tackling labor feeling like this! Maybe things needed to slow down a bit though... I have an appt with my mw today and I'll see what she has to say.

Anyone else encountering unexpected unpleasantries near the end?

Yep, DD passed along her cold/scratchy throat to me this weekend. I was SO miserable Friday night that I was just sure I'd end up in labor just begging for drugs (we're planning to go med-free). Thankfully I'm feeling a little better in that respect, but then yesterday had what felt like a plugged duct coming on.

This baby just needs to come already!

yuck! this is definitely a time i would pray for Baby to hang in there a bit longer. i'm sure this adds to the stress of impending labor but hopefully you can focus on healing & preparing for birth!!

I have a really bad head cold. I hope it passes before labor since breathing is really a task!

I was pretty sick last week (laryngitis, sinus infection, and pink eye!!) but I feel so much better today. My vaporizer and neti pot are my best friends

Hope you feel better soon

Nothing worse than being very preggo and sick!

I think I am rockin' a cold or something too. My sinuses hurt, but my nose isn't stuffy, my throat is sore, and I have a lot of congestion in my chest. This little one can hold out for a few more days, I'm sure. I don't feel so good.:

when I hit 40 weeks, and the day after getting my membranes stripped (for the 1st time), I got a really bad bug with a terrible sore throat. I was deathly scared of going into labor being sick. But, somehow the baby knew mammma wasn't feeling well, and I am still waiting at 41 weeks. Best thing to do is just rest and drink lots of liquids and hot decaf tea. That seemed to help a lot.

Hope you feel better mamma, and that lil' one holds one till you're up to it

Yeah, tea is my best friend right now. I would love to load up on some garlic right now to help kill the bugs but these days it makes me ridiculously gassy . If I were anymore gassy at this point in my life I think my husband would divorce me.

Aww, I hope you feel better! I just got over a sinus infection.

Yup, I'm getting over a cold I caught over the weekend. It has now turned into a cough. But I have a little over 3 weeks until my EDD and am hoping to be healthy by then. Hope you feel better soon!
