Pressure!!

During ds's birth the nurse kept pressuring me, and telling me if he wasn't born soon she'd give me drugs so I wouldn't get too tired.(this is why I will never have hosp. birth AGAIN!) Well I got mad and pushed..at 7cm! Well he was born, everythings fine, but I now notice when I get my period, the first day I can barely stand because I have all this pressure in my outer labia area. (I can't walk or stand, and sometimes it doesn't go away when i sit) It feels like all the blood has rushed down there! it is so uncomfortable! I may be pregnant again and I am afraid I ruined my cervix or something! When I said something to my mom she said, oh yea I had that too. BUt what is it!!!!????? LIke a moron, you think i said anything to the dr????? Just wanted to know if anyone else has/had experienced this and knows WHAT is it!!!
Thanks!!

Whoa, hold up...you mean to tell me that it's possible to get hemorrhoids in your yoni?! I did not know this.

Hmmm. I never thought of that...Would that cause them to look diff? Because the pressure is the ONLY symptom...at this point in time. There are no buldges or anything. JUST THE PRESSURE>>UGGGHHH

I think I know what you are feeling. I only get this pressure once in a while and it makes me want to put counter pressure on it, which of course looks ridiculous. I describe it just like you: It feels as if all the blood rushes down there and it has no place to go. It feels much better once I lay down for hours, like overnight. I've only had this since my last birth, which I pushed before being complete. I'm not sure if that is coincidence or not.

There are a few factors that make it worse:
1. Standing for long periods of time
2. Having sex recently
3. being pregnant
4. having my period
5. straining to go number 2

I've never talked with my doctor or midwife about it because I feel as if it's annoying but not enough pain to take anything for. I'd like to know what other people have to say.

Just in the past week or so, I've had a similar problem. It doesn't feel like pressure, but I am so swollen and tender down there. Maybe it's the same issue:

So who has any advice on how to make it go away? I still have a while before this babe comes out and I would rather feel more comfortable than this.

hematoma? in other words, a pool or pocket of blood behind the skin, particularly if there are stitches, or bad stitching involved. It's incredibly hard to deal with in postpartum because you can't stand or sit normally for more then 15 mins without pressure/throbbing. It takes about 6 weeks to go away, and ice packs can help.

I have the same pain. I always just assumed it was related to the 2nd degree tear I have had twice. Whenever I am really crampy with my period or have to go number two I get it. Like a PP I always want to put counterpressure on it, but it wouldn't be pretty There was a thread on here a month or so ago and they had some great suggestions for what it could be but I can't remember. Mine gets less the more postpartum I get.
