Makes me mad!

It's really weird to see how drastically I've changed since last pregnancy in my thoughts!

I was watching "A Baby Story" on TLC and this lovely woman was giving brith in a hospital. I watched her lay on her back the entire time and then watched them all talking to her at the same time telling her when to push and they practically pulled the baby out. Then they just walked off with the baby. He was perfectally fine they were just doing the "usual" things.

I was mad! I started flashing back to my L/D room and all the crap I went through. I'm sooo grateful that this time around we're going for an all natural homebirth, because I would probably knock out everyone at the hospital if I went there again.

When I was pregnant for DS 1 I used to love watching those shows. Now I can't I get too upset. : I get too mad and then I rant all day about it. DH doesn't appreciate the mood it puts me in.

Yup, those shows tick me off too. I would keep watching anyway though, jsut in case they happened to play one of the good birth center/homebirth/unmedicated ones. They were few and far between, but I loved when I caught one!

:

I watched them nonstop before my first pregnancy. I actually found them useful in that I learned that each hospital was different... and it gave me a range of ideas. BUT, after I gave birth, I couldn't stand them for the most part. It bothers me so much that 95% of the women labor in bed... flat on their backs... etc. Nobody ever suggests a different position to the Mom (but maybe it's because most have epidurals.)
