Maggie is here

Mary Margaret is here aka Maggie. She was born Wed. May 2 at 8:42 am. She weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and is 18 inches long. It took me a bit longer to recover from the c-section as my abdominal muscles had pulled away from the wall and they had to be sutured together.

Maggie is a dream baby. I am not sure how long it will last but she is sleeping throught the night. She has been since the day she was born (all of 5 nights now). Its ironic as I have to get up every 2 hours to take medication yet the newborn sleeps. She was a bit jaudice but that is resolving itself. She is super strong. She rolled over in the hospital and this morning she rolled over twice while I was bathing her. When she wiggles she is hard to hold she is so strong. When you put her on her tummy she lifts up her head.

I'm sorry your recovery isn't the best, but DANG sounds like you made a very precocious little girl! Were your boys anything like this?
Congrats!

thank you,

I should not complain to loud. Recovery is slower then I anticipated (I am upset that I am not cleaning the house today) but I am doing a lot more then most people. We had the baby's baptism on Friday night then Saturday morning we had Liam's First Communion then we went to my parent's house 90 miles away to spend the night. It was a great visit. My mom held the baby for a few minutes and we got lots and lots of pictures. Yes my daughter has a busy social life.

My boys were had really strong neck muscles as newborns. They all could lift their heads but Miss Maggie is super baby rolling over and oh my gosh you should see how hard it is to change her diaper when she is mad. Of course we all think besides being super strong she is a genius. She was sucking on her pacifer and looked up and saw my nipple and decided she rather be nursing then having the yucky plastic thing so she spit out the pacifer so she could nurse.

My babe could also lift her head just a day or two after birth and she is a roller too! That also surprised me a lot. I hope your recovery goes well!
