Dent in the back of 7 wk old dd's head

Has anyone else experienced this?? Is it normal?? She seems to be fine, but I'm not sure what to think of this dent.

Hm. I think it depends on how much of an indentation it really is. Has it recently appeared. Just call your doc so you can put your mind at rest.

Could it just be her occiputal bone?

My first guess would be that it's just a fontanel. There is one soft spot in top of the baby's head, and one on the back. The one on the back is smaller and closes up first, but I'm pretty sure it's still there at 7 weeks. You might even be able to feel her pulse there.
