Ok, i found 3 bags of books from borders and barnes noble that i purchased earlier this year. anywheres from january to march... the reciepts are in the bags... these are adult fiction. im not going to get around to reading them and they are taking up space... should i return them? total is about $75.00

Im kinda panicky these days about $$ since dh was 'let go' last week.... he got a great settlement and insurance coverage but the fact dh is unemployed is frightening...

$75 can buy alot of diapers and groceries these days...

So sorry about your $$ situation...that's scary! I think I'd try to return them. You can always check them out at the library.

Hang in there!

I would try and return them.

I agree with PP

I'd return them. They'll just put them back on the shelf.

I'd try to return them but I don't know if they will take things back from so long ago. Some stores only allow returns within 30 or 60 days.

Hope things look up soon.

I would try to bring them back. Just explain you didn't realize how much time had passed since you bought them. I have done that before and it sometimes works

I work at B&N part-time, if the receipt is over 30 days old they'll only give store credit. The system won't accept any other form of refund. Sorry to be a bummer....

Maybe call first just to double-check with your particular store.

Even if they just give you store credit, you could use that to buy presents for several people this year. You could be really careful with it and stretch it awhile. It's better than a bunch of books you will never read sitting around the house.
