Anyone else waiting for reality to set in. I am still taking all this in and can't believe that our little guy is ours and is here to stay...anyone else?

Sometimes I'm in starstruck heaven and sometimes I'm just plain exhausted and feeling like I get nothing done and never will. I would love a shower.
When I get down, I remind myself that this is what I wanted my whole life and I need to suck it up. That works just about every time.

With my first DS, I remember it took me about 2 month for everything to settle in.....then the sleep deprivation finally hit me like running into a brick wall...then after that the first year just went by sooooooooo fast!
Take a lot of pictures mama!!!! They grow up so fast! My DS1 is now 20 months and seems soooooo big next to DS2! *sniff sniff*

I have just been so overwhelmed by the responsability...I'm afraid of everything! I can't even set him down or leave the room (I actually got him out of his crib while still asleep and took him to the computer with me this AM because I can't stand to be awake and not in the same room - even though he literally would have been about 20' away at the most!)
(((Hanno))) I totally feel the "I just want a shower!" Last night DH thought I was mad at him (actaully I was just exhausted and wanting a shower - but figuring sleep was more important and the baby had been awake more than any other day of his life) ...today I woke him up a little early to and took a showeer before he left for work - it was great...I didn't even have to rush because the baby still thought it was night time (he sleeps 3-4hr stretches at night).
I'm getting awesome at speed eating
and I care less about having warm food - my signature breakfast that I can prepare one handed is yogurt mixed with frozen fruit and 2 slices of plain bread
it gets the job done!
He is just preacious and amazing though...I wouldn't trade him for the world or even for all the sleep in the world...
I think in some ways it is setting in that he is mine...like I can't remember not having him - or at least my way of thinking before I had him... But in other ways I'm not sure it will ever sink in.
I can't believe he fit in side of me either!!!!
