TMI alert!
Last week, I thought I lost my plug - several days of very thick grossness. No blood - more yellow in color.
This AM I had the same thing, but with brown blood. I had an internal exam yesterday, so I'm wondering if this is real bloody show or a result of the exam. It was an easy, painless exam. I'm only 1cm, 25% effaced, but with a very soft and anterior cervix and the baby is in position. No real contractions. Occasional cramps, no pattern.
I didn't have bleeding after my previous exam at 37 weeks, but did at 35 (I don't think I was ready, but chose to have an exam that early since the midwife was already in there doing the GBS).
I'm almost 39 weeks, if that matters.
Just wondering if this means much of anything, or if it was caused by the exam. I'm supposed to call my doula to give her a heads up if I think things may be starting. Not sure if it's time yet.
