Makin cloth wipes!!

Woohoo! My first sewing project ever! I bought a bunch of flannel -- sew two 6x6 squares inside out, turn them right side out, and then zig zag stitch a "border" if you will.

Slowly but surely, they are getting better with each batch.

Thank you!

Do you think that they would sell at ALL?

those are great! i bet they would sell, they are way nicer than the ones i made. i just cut up a bunch of old receiveing blankets and did a zig zag stitch on the edges...they serve their purpose, but i'd much rather have taken the time to make ones like you did, they really are great looking!

I would want them a little bigger- mainly because as your kid gets into toddler stage--- poops can be NASTY and in great quantity. I need big wipes on my daughter for her poos. SMaller ones (like the orange) are good for pees. If I ever fully switch over to cloth wipes for myself- I'd want slightly bigger ones as well.

You've done an awesome job on with those stitches though!!

I have a toddler and I think mine are 4x7? I made them exactly the size to fit into the wipes warmer and they work out great. I'm still working on my stitches for sure (wish I had a serger!!) but I'm just using scrap material from baby towels (those never functioned well even on my babe as a nb) and receiving blankets etc. I could make them double width and fold I guess, but for me I think that might be overkill. I was thinking about selling them as well, once I got a good stitch down. I think they're the greatest thing ever.
