Help! I think I lost my milk!

My dd will be 1 year old in a few days. About a month ago, I stopped pumping at work, but continued to nurse dd in the evening and during the night (we co-sleep). I did this with my ds, and was able to continue nursing until he was a few weeks shy of 2.

The last few days, though, she is getting very angry when she nurses. I'm unable to manully express any milk and I just don't feel like there's a lot there. On one side, I think there's nothing. What should I do? I'm not ready to stop! She's never been too into nursing--could she be ready to stop? I don't want to force her, but I'm afraid of her suffering emotionally if she stops too early (especially since she does not use a pacifier). I'm very confused.

Start pumping like crazy, would be my suggestion. It sucks but it will help bring back your supply.

: All is not lost mama! And for the record from what I've heard from other moms, every nursing relationship is DIFFERENT. It's not unusual for things to be different baby to baby. (Which may be why your supply dipped this time, but not last time...)

She's far too young to wean. It's a supply problem. I would try oatmeal or mother's milk tea and go back to pumping.
