DD is 3 1/2 months old. When she gets startled, usually because I cough or sneeze or the dog barks, she gets so upset! First she makes an incredibly cute sad face, then she bursts into tears. She could be inconsolable for 30 seconds or so. (That's a long time!) I feel a little guilty for sneezing or whatever, but really, what am I supposed to do otherwise? Are all babies like this, or is she especially sensitive? I know I startle easy myself, but it doesn't make me cry
