I wanted to let everyone know that our baby girl arrived on thursday, May 10 and we're doing great. if you want to read our story, I posted it in the May DDC forums.
short version:
lost my mucous plug around 8 in the morning, drove DD to school, called DH home from work and cuddled in bed all morning. the midwives showed up around 3:30, friends and family came and went during the whole thing, and Piper Lee was born peacefully into DH's hands in our cozy bed at 9:10 while friends and family chatted and kids played in the other room. we're all doing "nice and fine" as my DD would say, and life goes on as usual. I LOVE HOMEBIRTHING!
