Yet another cervix question

For those that check your own:

As it dilates, does it get perfectly round? Reason I ask is that I checked mine today and it feels significantly wider but little if any rounder and about the same effacement (75% ish). The picture is always round, darn it.

I don't know that much about cervix's.

When I checked mine the dilation I feel is an oval.

Wish I could find a good web site explaining the cervix and it changes before birth.

Mine is so far posterior, I can barely get to it...but it does seem more oval than round...
So far, this is the best info I've found about DIY cervical checks...if others have better links, please add them

Nope it won't be perfectly round and it doesn't dilate evenly either.

Don't really know the answer.... i checked mine 2 weeks or so ago and it's too hard to reach so i haven't checked since. When i did it was more oval than round, and i couldn't find any dilation because it seemed to be tilted back too much or something. For what it's worth.... i don't think that knowing what's going on really is gonna make a difference, although admittedly if it were easier to check i would again since i'm post term now and getting impatient Also, i'm curious and want to know what/how my body is doing just as a learning experience.

I have a few other links....
