Can I do BBT's if i nurse my ds all night long?

I have a 14month old ds that still night nurses - and i mean all night long. Basically he stays attached most of the night. This is a seperate issue in itself, but..... anywho, i am interested in trying to conceive within about 9 months and i'm trying to track my cycles to find out if and when i'm ovulating. partly b/c i'm worried that i will have difficulty conceiving the next one and partly b/c i would like to try Shettles method for a girl next time. so my question is: is it possible to get accurate reads from BBT's when i switch sides (boobs) about every hour all night long? i have tried to research this issue, but unfortunately there is not that much info out there about this topic. anyone had experience with this? i am checking CM and OPK's but would like confirmation that i'm ovulating. thanks!

I never had an all-night nurser like yours while TTC, but mine would wake up 4-6x while I was an early BBT-er. Now she wakes up 2-ish times and I get her out of her crib (next to my side of the bed, bring her inot bed, nurse her for 1/2-3/4 hour (I don't move my body to switch sides) while restingsleeping more, and then take my temp. I take my temp at the same time (within an hour). I haven't had a problem. However, I have a rise of temps at o-date of more than a few 1/10th of a degree. If you have a slight rise, it may be a problem. But, you won't know that until you give it a shot.

Bottom line, it's worth a shot to see what the results are and whether or not it is worth it. Good luck!
