False alarm

Well, last night I got all excited because I really thought things might be happening. I went to yard sales all afternoon with my mom and the kids, and when I got home, I started feeling pretty frequent contractions. Around 7 PM I started timing them and noticed they were about 5-6 minutes apart. Yikes! I drank a lot of water, put my feet up, and they didn't stop. Finally around 9:30 they were still 5-6 minutes apart so I called my doula to give her a heads up about what was going on. (I didn't really feel like it was true labor but she had asked that we inform her early if we even thought something MIGHT be happening, so she could plan her time effectively.)

Went over to my sister's place for our regular Saturday night get together, and by the time we'd been there about an hour..... ctx had fizzled out to 10 minutes apart, then 15, then pretty much nothing. Called my doula back and told her it was a false alarm, and went home and went to bed.

Oh, well. We still have a couple things to finish up before baby comes anyway. I wonder if this is a sign that it will be sooner rather than later, though!

Bummer on the false alarm. SO frustrating IMO because when the real labor comes along you still be thinking false alarm
