Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the new mamas, experienced mamas, and mamas-to-be! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

This morning DH made me and the puppies breakfast in bed. Then we all took a walk down to the village to get the paper. When we got back, we did my belly casting. Then my sister, niece, and MIL all came over for lunch and to help us finish up some baby things.

Later, I talked to my grandmother who, amazingly, just turned 98 :! She is still as fesity as ever and I can't wait for her to meet her newest great-grandchild.

How are you celebrating?

We had a great day. I slept in, dh cleaned the whole kitchen, ds listened to a book on disc. We went out for art supplies and some lunch at a cafe. Walked home and painted the belly cast we made last weekend. DTD, took a nap, got up and made a fabulous dinner.

(And Laney, I got your PM but really have no experience with those MWs, sorry!)

DH took me, baby and his mom for brunch at my favorite pancake place after we slept until 11am. Then I napped all afternoon. It was quite relaxing and I'm glad baby co-operated with the napping plans!!

My mom took us all out to breakfast and then we spent all day at the beach.I think I actually might have gotten a sun burn but oh well.It was nice and relaxing and then we came home and I made dinner.
tomorrow I hope that when DH gets off of work he'll watch the critters so that me and my mom can get a pedicure.

I slept in, and came downstairs to a beautiful card made by my daughter. I took a shower, we went out to lunch and walked around town a little bit. Tourist season is starting so it's kind of "waking up" after winter, which is always fun. We rented movies and I got Failure to Launch, which I would not usually get because my husband wouldn't want to watch it with me. We came home and hung around the house, watched the movie, got Chinese takeout for dinner, that's about it! It's really amazing to have a new baby on Mother's Day - I didn't get any presents, but Henry (and his birth) was definitely an early present, and better than anything I could think of.
