I just found an article in the June/July issue of Parenting magazine about dental caries and the author mentioned a "dental caries test" that you can get at your dentist that measures the concentration of s-mutans bacteria in the mouth. My kids' ped. dentist has heard of it but doesn't know where to find it. He said he would order it for us if I could find more information on where to get it.
Does anyone know how to get this test? The article said they cost about $35 but didn't give any more information.
