So, where is your fave spot to buy newborn clothes. I love the organic cottong clothes they sell at Whole Foods. I was curious as to where you like to shop. Any fave online sites?

This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I drool at baby magazines and online baby stores, but there is no way I have the money to buy new clothes. You would be amazed at the purchases I have made at used clothing stores. I have beautiful baby clothes and no one would know they are not new. Thank you to all you moms who give your clothes to used clothing stores!

I hit the second hand shops a few times, especially at the end of the season when I can stock up SO INEXPENSIVELY! There are a lot around here, four or five that I like and go to plus a bunch I've never been to. I get really nice stuff, all brand name (OshKosh, Carters, Gap, BabyNordstrom, The Children's Place) for $1. It's ridiculous for bargains. I'd rather buy a name brand piece of clothing that I know is going to last and wash well than something at Target just b/c it's cheap (but don't get me wrong- I have my fair share of that stuff too!)
I just went to a "tot swap" which was a huge consignment "swap" at the state fairgrounds. A few good deals there. DS is set for clothes through next winter! I fill in the holes with new stuff at Baby Gap, Old Navy etc., but that's really only a very few items. And my mom always buys a few cute, new items every season that she can't resist!
We're pretty well set for the new babe as well since most of the stuff we have is GN, with some boy-ish things mixed in. If this ones a girl, I'll hit the consignment shops after she arrives to pick up some cute pink outfits which I know I won't be able to pass up!

Not organic, but I found a few cute things at: http://www.littleme.com/index.cfm
I will buy a lot of baby stuff second hand at this point because babies grow too fast and I have SO many kids that also need tons
I used to buy all new. That was F-U-N and delicious! But luckily I have found a consignment shop here that because it's Cali, it's a bit expensive compared to others, but it's got some great stuff. More for girls as usual. If I have a boy, I may end up buying more new items.

Add me to the Goodwill-garage sales-thrift-cosignment stores. We have one here (Ohio) called Once Upon a Child that's fantastic!

I was lucky enough to get hand-me-downs for my son, but we did splurge every once in awhile. I liked the long sleeve baby ts they have at American Apparel.

I splurged on Zutano stuff for dd2, whenever it went on sale, because I was so darn tired of not being able to find truly gender neutral stuff for dd1. I don't want my girls to look like boys...grrrrr...I just don't want them to look like dolls or like teenagers going to the club! Sheesh!
Is it too much to ask that they just be able to look like children?
I usually pick up basic odds and ends at Target, Children's Place, etc. But, yeah, they don't last very long. I swear every time dd1 comes home from the stables she has a new hole in her pants, etc...
Anyway...I don't need a whole lot for this little bug. I'll probably end up buying a couple outfits, though.
I'm finally "buying" into the hype though, and I'm going to get dd1 a summer wardrobe from Hanna Anderssen. I'll get dd2 2 or 3 things, as well. We've been budgeting and saving for it...but, yikes! Everyone keeps telling me that the clothes will last through a few siblings. They better! Or I'm sending the knee-breakers!!
I would love to shop at consignment and thrift shops. My mom is the best bargain shopper out there and makes me feel so bad for buying clothes at almost full price... I'd like to see her try to shop with my kids, though! Oh wait, we tried when I went to visit in March... Yeah, that went over well...
: I doubt she'll bring it up again...
