what is your craving/aversion situation?

Are things getting better for everyone? I had a massive craving for BLT's today so I ran out and got some soy bacon and had a feast. My aversions are definitely going away, thank goodness. I even had a cup of 1/2 decaf, 1/2 reg coffee this morning- something I could not even THINK about a month ago. I am feeling like this is good- maybe I can have a more balanced diet now. For a while there I could only keep down a few things and some of them were not so healthy... (sherbet, pudding...)

No weird cravings yet. I can't see myself wanting pickles with ice cream. But I did get that VERY strong need for a BLT. I also had a whole bag of sour patch kids for breakfast one day last week.

Oh, you've just inspired a craving for me! I LOVE sour patch kids.

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and my food aversions pretty much abated right around 13 weeks or so. Now I'll probably pack on the pounds...there's not much I can't eat at this point.

I can't stomach the thought of chicken. We were big chicken eaters before but it just doesn't sound good.

Speaking of candy, though, I have been really into Starburst for some reason. And fresh berries as well as those salads that come with the candied nuts and dried fruit.

Ha! I am so glad you said that, Lisalulu- I grabbed that very salad from work. Mesclun greens, candied pecans, and this apple/raisin chutney. Topped with a slab o'goat cheese. I almost forgot it out in the car! It will be my dinner...

I was craving garlic rolls last night - the 'real' ones from an authenic italian restaurant that are dripping with oil and smothered in garlic...mmmm......

as far as aversions go, I am still having issues with cooking smells like roasting chicken and such....ugh

I'm feeling better, able to cook more, but still can't stand...

cooked tomatoes :

Raw ones are fine, and I've been craving really good pico de gallo like mad, but can't stand any tomato sauce...

hope it goes away before we go on vacation to Italy with my parents this summer or I'm going to gain 20 pounds in a week eating cream sauce!

I have had the Sour Patch Kids breakfast!! and maybe dinner also!! : I also seem to REALLY enjoy grilled cheese sandwiches from the local greasy spoon. Strawberries have tasted delicious lately. This afternnon I couldn't get my mind off of blueberries, but they don't look so great at the stores. A shaved ham sandwich sounds terrific, but I am vegetarian so I am skipping that. I think I could get it down without much trouble though.

Veggies still don't go down very easily.

I had a Jelly Belly jelly bean day once. I figured I would be a good girl and eat the good ones like Orange Juice to get my nutrition

I'm finally able to eat big salads again, and I'm eating loads of fresh fruit. It's really lovely to have it in season just when I'm coming back to normal food.

On the other hand, I was practically living on peanut butter, and the thought of having it in anything is not appetizing. I figure that's a fair trade for my new papaya, raspberry, and lettuce cravings.

My aversion to junk food is lessening as well. Sooo, I'm starting to eat more ice cream. I don't really totally crave it like I did with other pg, but now I feel like "treating" myself to it more often.

I also love pineapple still and my new favorite is a toasted bagel with cream cheese!

Oh man, you inspired a BLT craving here! My friend was telling me today that she's growing tomatoes in her yard and I was thinking about a nice tomato sandwich with mayo. It would be so much yummier with some bacon and lettuce.

My aversion to peanut butter is still here, but the aversion to sweet stuff is unfortunately disappearing. Even the aversions to vegetables and BBQ ribs are gone. Chicken is not particularly appealing but I'll eat it. The baby doesn't like onions even though I do, so I still avoid them.

For cravings, I've been really wanting seafood lately, lots of shrimp and a little tuna and ooh! the cream cheese seafood spread from the seafood department on ritz crackers. Fruit is awesome now too, maybe b/c it's getting hot. Gala apples, cantaloupes, bananas, mangoes... even fruit juice is great. I've never been a big fan of fruit candy (always a chocoholic) but Skittles are so yummy now. Have you tried the sour ones? Yum! Jeez I'm such a foodie. : Sounds like I need to check out Sour Patch Kids too.

I feel like I'm a passenger along for the ride as my taste buds and body go through all these changes!

All this sour patch/ skittles talk is making my mouth water! I had a big bowl of strawberries today that were so incredibly yummy, it inspired me to go to the store to get some more and I also got some cereal (which I usually don't care for) so I can have strawberries and cereal for breakfast!

Funny-our kitchen smells like soy bacon now and I have been avoiding going in there because I will want another one. I already ate dinner and I am trying to not overindulge in anything....

I'm doing much better than I was a few weeks ago. I can handle meat in small amounts, if it's cut up in stuff (no whole chicken breast or burgers! ewww....) I can cook now if it's not too spicy/smelly. I can eat eggs again! I still have a pretty strong aversion to garlic, but I can handle it in very small amounts in restaurant or processed food, but only if it's one of the last ingredients and barely noticeable. I'm really enjoying fruit and baby carrots (the only raw vegetable that I'm really enjoying!) And I am currently having a love affair with Nutella!!!

lucky! i usually drink TONS of water but lately it's been really exacerbating my nausea. i have to choke down just the recommended 64oz!

i have been much better in the past week, though not 100% by any means. my aversions are starting to subside (though i wouldn't say they're gone -- talk of sour patch kids here really turned my stomach because i ate a bunch of those in my 7th week and they made me So Sick) and i'm starting to have more cravings. i like the whole craving thing, it's fun!

Uhm, reading through the posts made me crave some things, like cream cheese and all the fruits, even some ones I don't know what they are! (like cantaloupe)
On Saturday I cooked a Pumpkin cream soup that made me sooooo happy. I feel like eating that right now. Any kind of soup would make me happy. Sunday it was the Avocado with mayo sandwich and I was happy too. Yesterday a spinach cake (something we call 'pascualina') was very appealing too.

Aversions: meat, chicken, ewwwww. The smell of meat cooking into a tomato sauce makes me very sick... There's a restaurant I have to walk through in my way to work that really smells, : I can't even read the names of some foods in the grocery stores or in the resto's board. I would love some fileto sauce poured over a good pasta.

The good thing is that I can drink water when I'm thirsty! It made me puke 10 days ago, so there's hope!

Im 14 w on Wednesday. I am craving things that arent so good for me - especially, cola. I am ravenously thirsty for Coke slurpees, fountain cokes, coke in a can, anything cola. I was the same way with DS. I am also craving cinnamon rolls, french toast, and cake, which I craved with Ds too, so I'm thinking this one is a boy too. My aversions include coffee (even the smell), mushrooms, chicken and peanut butter.
Last night i nearly made Dh go out to Whole Foods and get me a big bag of Terra Chips, cus I had a mad craving for them But it was late, and they were closed.

So my aversion to sweets is back. Not in full force, but enough to stop me from eating an entire scoop of ice cream or a whole candy bar. I'm actually kind of happy about that. I'd rather consume food that has nutritional value for baby and doesn't just serve the purpose of adding fat on to my frame.

I still want my white cherry icee!
