WOW! Those are some beautiful dolls. Slings, too. I think I saw you at the Babywearing Conference in Portland last year. Just a comment- you should have a link to your website in your blog... I had to search to find more of your dolls. :-)

I agree, the best way to make money is to tap into your skills. So I am hard of heraing and used sign language to communicate when young and still do every now and then. Also taught my daguterh over 200 signs for baby signs just so I can communicate with her. I like to start up a compnay, but as you all may be aware, there are SO many baby sign language companies out there, can I really compete? Also I live in the poorest county in the state, I doubt people can afford it. Anyone have suggestions as to how I can go about this?
Thanks

One of the things that helps a person stand out is to provide a niche' market. Find a way you can provide your services/skills/handbook/writing/etc. that is unique to you.

Another thing is personality. Your personality is nothing like someone else's. And that's what sells alot of ideas and gets alot of businesses going and thriving.

Simply some things to think about. Wow, by answering your question, I've given you advice I could use myself. Thank you!

Not really a WAH but DH and I are Urban Missionaries, sponsored by a faith based non profit. Kiddos come with us everywhere. Maybe someday we will go over seas
We also do screen printing (art, patches, cards, tees ect.) and sell stuff at craft bizarres and etsy. DH is also a freelance graphic designer.

I make custom corsets and punk (retro, etc. baby clothes

Both online stores.

It's great because it really allows me to work around my DD's schedule.

I am the Internet Sales Manager for a supplement company. I work from home, but I don't love it and I find it very difficult to juggle the job with talking care of DS.

I am looking for a different kind of WAH job, one with less pressure. I am thinking of buying a cloth diaper site or something like that.
