how do you it set up? where do you hold the "useds"? how often do you do the laundry for it? for that matter, how do get the stains out? (yes, i'm horrible at laundry. i can't seem to make any stain remover work, but that's a different thread.)

thanks!

Well I need to get ours back out, but I keep a basket on the back of the toilet for new ones, our diaper pale sits right in front of the toilet so that is where they get put, along with mama cloth and the cloth diapers. As for stains, I don't worry about them, but most of them come out on their own with regular washing. If you are worried about them you can put them in the sun just like you would cloth diapers. I wash my diapers with a bit of oxyclean and then tide detergent. They have liquid oxyclean now that I am loving. It keeps the diapers and stuff free from stains and the only things I use it on are the kids clothes since my 2.5 yo is hard on her clothes and then on the diapers. I will put it in with whites part of the time but only if I think that they need it and I don't use it much on dh and I's clothes as they just don't need the boost usually.

But cloth TP is really quite easy, the only reason ours is not out is because I was so sick with this last pregnacy that I ended up going to as simple as possible, and that didn't fit in the simple for me as the 2.5 yo was pled and I didn't need the added laundry.

I have two gorgeous wicker baskets sitting above our toilets in the upstairs and downstairs baskets. They are lovely -- I found them at thrift stores, but they are really pretty pieces. They are large enough to cover the entire toilet back -- I keep about 20-30 wipes in there at all times.

Our covered swing-top diaper pail is in the upstairs bathroom and after use the wipes go straight in there.

Our downstairs bathroom is a bathroom/mudroom/laundry room, so the used wipes go straight in the washing machine after use.

I wash all the wipes (and Mama pads) with the diapers on hot -- cold rinsing wash first, then hot cycle with detergent.

We have never had any stains because I line dry...but I specifically chose very busy patterned material for the wipes, so I don't think you would see much even if they did stain.

One thing you didn't ask about is folding the wipes -- at first I used to keep them folded in their baskets, but that adds soooooo much work to the laundry folding. Now we just keep them all jumbled in their baskets...so they come off the line straight into the basket. That makes the system much less labor-intensive.

Good luck to you!!!

We have a small basket on the back of the toilet tank where I set the clean ones along with a peri bottle full of water.

Our toilet is right next to the sink, so we can also wet the wipes in the sink.

The used ones go into a small plastic trash can with a flip top lid.

I wash them about every other day - whenever the trash can begins to fill up. I haven't had any problem with stains at all, but then again the wipes are wet/damp when they're used. I also chose a dark color & pattern so even if there were stains I probably wouldn't see them too well.

BTW - our bathroom is the only one in the house and it's *tiny*! Our bathtub is only a 3/4 size because of the sloping ceiling and we barely have room for a pedestal sink and toilet.
