Spry gum has glycerin

Here are the ingredients for Spry spearamint gum:
Other Ingredients:
Xylitol, gum base, natural flavors, glycerin, gum arabic, soy lecithin, and beeswax.

Do you think the adverse effect of glycerin is countered by the positive effect of the xylitol? Does the glycerin not adhere to the teeth the way it would if it was brushed on in toothpaste?

Is this all wishful thinking on my part, and I shouldn't have my kids use the gum because of the glycerin? :

What is your concern about glycerin?

Most of the studies showing long term effectiveness of xylitol in reducing tooth decay were done with Finnish-made Xylimax gum. Xylimax does contain some glycerin.

Glycerin coats the teeth and takes about 30 rinses to get it all off. If the teeth are coated like that, they can't remineralize from your saliva. It makes them even more prone to problems.

Because of this, some people have turned to teeth cleansers like toothsoap and different powders that do not contain glycerin.

OK, I loosed really closely at the label, and the Xylimax Mints from LumiLine have no glycerin. Tasty too!
