Spotting...appt. this afternoon

I'm 16 weeks along and spotting for the first time this pregnancy this morning. No exam/sex recently, so I'm a little nervous. I sort of expected some spotting in the first trimester, but not this far along. I've had a loss before my DS so I'm a little jumpy. Anyway, I have an appt. this afternoon at 3:45 and will keep you posted.

Can exhaustion cause spotting? I've had a rough week...

Hugs and lots of good thoughts your way. I remember people saying that they had spotting when they had just overdone it for what their body could handle at the time. Hopefully you just need some good rest...

Wow, thanks for the support, you guys. It really means a lot to read your posts.

I did go in and the heartbeat was good and strong (I had her check it twice ). She did a pelvic after that which she said looked good, but I had a good bit of cramping after she finished. I really hate those! She said I should watch for severe cramping and bright red bleeding...of course now I'm hyper-aware of every little thing my body is doing. But, I'll focus on the little steady heartbeat. Everything looks good for now.

Yay! That's great news! I hope the cramping/spotting ends soon!

I had spotting around 15-16 weeks when I was pregnant with Rachel. It happened xmas day, so I had to go to the ER.

I never did find out what caused it, altho I had an ultrasound a week or so later.

Everything turned out fine, but it was sooooo scary.

I'm so glad everything looks ok! That must have been so scary! Do you have another appt. soon just to ease your mind?
