Well, I got rid of everything after our last child because we were done so I am starting from scratch.
I have budgeted so much money a month to get everything we need by the time the baby is born.
So far I have picked up:

Long sleeve onesies (most will probably be cut off and serged on the bottom to make shirts instead for cloth diapering)

A changing table

Some cloth diapers

A free bassinet

And BFL yarn for knitting longies - I already have one pair done.

I plan on making:
Receiving blankets
burp rags
cloth wipes
Some outfits
Knitted longies
A pouch
A Mei Tai

this is my first, so as soon as i hit 12 weeks i started putting together my diaper stash.

i also bought a pair of isabooties because i found a coop here on mdc and i LUFF isabooties.

So far, I bought a cute red fleece one piece zip up thing with a hood on it and a little white bob on the end. The front says "B'Jolly". It's from Osh Kosh B'Gosh (hence the "B'Jolly") I, too, have a "baby closet" to shop from once the gender is revealed (less than 4 weeks!) and if this one is a girl, we're all set clothes wise becaue my DD's bday is just one month before this baby's DD.

I bought a double stroller (Peg Perego Aria Twin Traveller) off Craigslist and just today agreed to buy a single stroller (Peg Perego Pliko P3) off Craigslist. This single is for when DD doensn't want to ride in the double anymore - there's a footboard on the back for her to hitch a ride every now and then.

The strollers were the most important on the "to buy" list since we have most everything else from DD. Glad to have those crossed off!!

I just bought a Medela double breast pump (the backpack kind) on eBay for $88! Woohoo!

Other than that, I've been given a lot of stuff...jumperoo, exersaucer, swing, brand new crib, stroller/car seat...all from my coworkers. Oh, and a couple of slings which I'm very excited about. And I still get a baby shower! (I love my generous and fertile coworkers!) We need to buy a cosleeper still but I'm only 13 weeks, so I might have to reign myself in for now. Although, that eBay thing is kind of addictive and there are a lot of cosleepers on there...

Anyone else get stuff for baby on eBay?

I would have bought a stroller (or two!) on ebay if I hadn't found them on Craigslist.

Oh, and your post reminded me, I also bought a Medala double breast pump! I got it at a consignment sale for only $40. I then bought brand new breast shields for it on ebay.

I bought my first pair of robeez. They weren't around when my kids were babies...they just wore socks! I also bought this adorable little blue outfit with these fuzzy little soft shoes with a puppy on it. It's a boy outfit but it's cute & if we have a girl...well...girls wear blue & have dogs too!

We're not finding out the sex so I've got to do all the GN stuff & there is no such thing. Oh, and some cute little gowns that turn into jumpers from the Devil aka Walmart. I was there with family...I was roped in...they were in yellow & had jungle animals on them...too cute! We don't really have anything left from the kids being babies so that sucks but....gives me the oppertunity to go all fancy with organic cotton, robeezs, slings, etc! My poor kids were just carried on the hip/in arms & wore thick socks. Shoes they couldn't lift their foot in just seemed so wrong.

By the way...I have 2 jenny lind changing tables if those who are wanting a changing table. I'd be happy to send them to you if you'll pay for shipping & make a donation to Dar a Luz www.daraluznetwork.com ...... I also have a Jenny Lind crib if anyone wants it.... I'm going to buy a cradle for the living room. It'll give me a chance to put the baby down next to me & totally focus on the kids.

for those of you having your fourth, WOW how lucky are you?

i have bouth some things, i actually bought some stuff the weekend before i missed my period, i just go this feeling and wanted to do something positive for good luck. i still sleep with the shirt under my pillow sometimes, to feel excited about the baby!

my mom has got it some stuff too!

i have bought stuff for babies that i have lost and i never felt sorry i did...i LIKE looking at those things, they are evidence of those little lives, and i love those babies whether they live or not. i look lovingly at the clothes, even though they never wore them.

in other words, i say, rejoice in the baby as much/in what ever ways as you feel moved to...it is your baby right now and it is FUN to get ready for it.

I have not purchased anything. We have some stuff from the last pregnancy (although I lost the baby the week before my shower). We have gotten tons of hand-me-down items (crib, swing, infant crib, changing table~which is not something I would buy but what the heck...) I have 2 dozen prefolds and a few AIO's... quite alot of boy clothes but nothing for a girl.. (I have a gut feeling I am having a girl).

I am running to the consignment store today- someone gave us a bag of really ugly toddler clothes that I may try to sell so I will check out some stuff while I am there.
