Palast is one of the best investigative journalists out there. No punches pulled.

This is hot!:

It just gets deeper and deeper, doesn't it?

Where is that thread from the other day................... "if you repeat something often enough ppl will believe it."

I am beginning to really dislike my countrymen...................

Wow, what an article.

Ya know, when the 'Cynthia McKinney is crazy' started showing up here, and the crazy/looney emoticon was featured as a descriptor for Cynthia McKinney, I never understood it. Where was the evidence for alleged insanity? It was never posted. Now I know why.

Sure are a lot of puppets and puppeteers.

I can only hope some karmic justice is dispensed all around for Cynthia McKinney and those who have wronged her.

You know - we probably need to start a thread on why stuff like this is so frustrating and futile and sickening and why does this stuff happen and the US doesn't want to see it and and . . . oh wait, every day there is something new like this, hmmmm . . .

I was thinking about that too. I've heard some of her speeches and i think she's pretty awesome.

and Greg Palast! wow!

It just blows my mind that the whole Choice Point thing has bee reported on and known about for a couple of years now and...nothing!

Well, I speak as one who lives in McKinney's district.. or should I say former district.. and one who has spoken to her in person.

I don't think she is "looney"
But I did vote against her.
Why?
Because she is so incredibly polarizing.. such a bomb-thrower... that her district suffered.
Because she is anti-Jewish.. ran against a Jewish opponant several years ago and made the race all about THAT... and she does not distance herself from a father who is also in politics and who is not only virulantly anti-Jewish but homophobic as well.

She plays the race card at any opportunity.. made her last campaign against another Black woman all about who was "Blacker."

I am as left-wing as they come.. I am all about progressive politics. And while I agree with McKinney's stances on a lot of issues.. she plays politics as ugly as it gets.

And her constituents suffer because of it. Things don't get funded because of HER. Things are divisive because of HER.

Yes, she is impressive when she speaks. And yes, she's often on the best side of the issues. But I don't want to be represented by someone who plays as nasty as she does.
