I've heard that they are no more sensitive than using a regular stethescope. So later on in pregnancy yes, but right now no... I do know that our midwife said that we could rent a dopplar for about $20/month if we really wanted too. DH almost took her up on it.

I really wanted one with Theo -- but EVER review i found on-line said they sucked.
