baby carriers - Page 2

I've been trying to figure the mei tai thing for weeks now and have settled on a Mei Tai Baby (www.meitaibaby.com). Try their test drive board, it's way cool. I liked the adjustable bottom feature for little babies. But the BH's are way cool as well.
I am trying a rs, but it's not working that well...

BH's begin at 85$, and MTB's at 69, if I recall. Robyn at BH is doing a raffle with great prizes to earn money for blankets for an orphanage in Africa that she's heading to the end of June. I think it ends tomorrow.

how long is the moby wrap. im guessing pretty long to wrap it like that? what are the dimensions?

I have a moby and LOVE it. So does my 4 week old. It is madeof 5 yards of fabric. So pretty much any size person can wear it. It is tricky to use at first. I had to actually se someone put it on about 3 times before I was comforatble doing it. I haven't had a problem wit hit at all. Mine only cost about $30. They come in all find of colors. Stongly recommend them.

Yeah, about 18 feet of fabric for the Moby! I didn't have too hard a time putting it on after reading the instructions a couple times. I also have a homemade pouch that is OK for quick trips and the house, but still have difficulty trying to figure out how to position DS.

i made a moby out of gauze....not stretchy....and it worked great (until dd1 cut it in half!?). it was only 99 cents a yard so it cost me $5! i opted for the gauze fabric because a major complaint of this wrap is that it's too HOT but the gauze wasn't at all. as soon as i get motivated again i plan on making another.

i got the "embroidered botanical" fabric ....http://meitaibaby.com/fabrics/botanical_lg.jpg...with khaki straps. i didn't get the zippy but i did get it adjustable because i wanted to start using it right away! my little guy is still getting used to it. he only tolerated it for about 10 minutes yesterday but i'm confident he'll warm up to it. i can't wait to be able to carry him on my back! i met a woman a few weeks back carrying her 7 week old on her back in a MT. how comfy is that?

what fabric did you get?

Am ordering tomorrow...asian floral circles, pop blossoms pink, and blue summer paisley...tried to get a good variety, lol.

I think a wrap would be way too hot around my neck o the desert..

I'm getting a solarveil ring sling from a WAHM on Ebay. Figure we'll need some cool fabric this summer. And it's khaki so hopefully DH will wear it.

We also have an Ergo but no infant insert. I wonder if I can order that? And I have a PINK moby-wrap style carrier that I haven't the foggiest idea how to use...

I fixed my carrier problem by buying a whole bunch now I can't decide what to keep

I ordered a beco with an infant insert from www.ecobabies.com (don't get the insert you'd be just as fine with a premium prefold) I think its too structured for a little one my 2 year old loves it but Callum not so much here's a picture http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...e/IMG_1481.jpg

I bought a www.tentoes.com click carrier and its really soft and super comfy and callum loves it and I could put him up on my back here is a picture of him in the swaddle pocket http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...e/IMG_1491.jpg and one of him on my back http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...e/IMG_1489.jpg and one on my front http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...e/IMG_1494.jpg

I think this is the one I"m going to use for my trip this weekend
