When the lights go down in the city
And the sun shines on the bay

(that man . . . : ) Ok, that might have been late 70's but good enough I think. Oh, and Faithfully, also by Journey. And Open Arms. Heck, anything popular by them

Oh wow, I just googled 80's music and found so many titles I'd forgotten.

I just died in your arms tonight - Cutting Crew (loved that one!)
Do you Really Want to Hurt Me - Culture Club
Everybody Wants to Rule the World - Tears for Fears
I Want to Know What Love is - Foreigner

Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler - you HAVE to have that one!

Ok, gotta get dh to make me a new mix tape now. Um, mix CD. Um, mix playlist on my mp3 player. Whatever.

The Pixies
Depeche mood
Cyndi Lauper

Your the inspiration
Hard Habit to break

Air Supply & Journey also had a bunch of slow songs, but my brain isn't pulling them up right now.

Here I go Again-whitesnake

More attempts at slow . . .

Africa by Toto. They also had some other hit but I can't remember what it was (and I think Africa is the slow one).
Every time you go away - Paul Young
Careless Whisper - Wham or George Michael? I think they were still Wham then
Can't fight this feeling - REO Speedwagon
Lady in Red by Chris DeBurgh
In your eyes - Peter Gabriel
Save a Prayer - Duran Duran (you gotta have Duran Duran!)
Take a Look at Me now - Phil Collins
I just Called to Say I love you - Stevie Wonder
I Guess That's Why they Call it the Blues - Elton John

The other Toto hit is Rosanna!

Thanks for the suggestions. He now has over 6 hours of music which should be plenty.
