I can't be the only one

I read Half-Blood Prince nearly a full year after it came out, because I was out of the country during the release, and then classes started, yadda, yadda...

This July 21st I'm going to be out of the country again, this time a field school in northern Quebec, and I just don't think I can handle the wait. Seeing as I'll be getting back little over a week later, I did what any rational sane person would do: briefly considered how much I would have to pay my little brother to stand in line outside the bookstore for several hours, then decided to just pre-order it.

Deathly Hallows will be sitting on my desk waiting for me when I return : It's going to be a good summer.

My son and I preordered ours last night at our local bookstore - and got 17% off! Cannot wait!

I think we'll be out of the country too. I was too embarrassed to ask my very busy dp if we could arrange our vacation plans to work around the release date, so it's my own fault.

I did arrange our vacation plans around Harry Potter. The only time the whole family can get out of town is in July. So we're going on vacation between the premier of OotP on the 13th and DH on the 21st. I don't want to miss out on the parties!
