Sore nipples now

My nipples are suddenly more sore than ever. They've been a bit more tender than normal over the past few months, but not really sore, nothing to complain about. But the last few days they have been substantially more sore and I can't figure out why. My last nursling weaned 8 months ago, so it's not that. DH isn't here to be bothering/playing with them. But they were really bothering me when I tried to sleep on my belly last night. It just seems odd that they are suddenly more sore. Any ideas why this might be? And I know it's not thrush (though I have felt thrushy at non-nursing times ever since I started nursing my first), I've been taking probiotics religiously and I don't eat too much sugar or refined flour. There's really no way I could be thrushy.

I am pregnant with my first so I am not sure what thrush feels like, but my nipples have been sooooooo sore lately. If Mr. Man moves while I am curled up to his back it feels like he is pulling them off. I just chalked it up to a normal pregnancy change.

I dunno, Alisha. Mine hurt like mad every time I'm pregnant, the ENTIRE time I'm pregnant. My DD is still nursing, so that doesn't help.

Hope they hurt a little less soon!

The soreness comes and goes for me. Some days they kill me, other days I don't notice them. If I sleep on my side, all curled up, they really hurt too.

Maybe you need a new bra? Maybe your girls have grown and your bra is too small?? Some days I just hook my bra on the biggest hooks for some relief. It seems to help.

I don't think so, but it would be nice, huh. I swear, my boobs have never grown during any of my pregnancies or nursing. I'm always the same. So boring.

This is my first so I have all kinds of weird nipple things happening. : They're getting bigger so they're peeling and itchy. They've been itchy for months and the whole breast has been sore off and on, but I just noticed nipple-specific soreness in the past couple of weeks. I heard Lansinoh can help and it makes a HUGE difference with the itchiness. It also seems like they're less sensitive when I use it. I hope your soreness eases up soon.

It comes and goes for me too. Its probably just hormones and nothing to worry about.

Well, glad to know I'm not alone at least. I had EXTREME soreness with my first until 20 weeks or so, zero breast/nipple soreness with my second and even was still nursing for the first 3 months of my pregnancy, and this time is just a bit of soreness. Kind of weird how they are all so different.
