My nipples are suddenly more sore than ever. They've been a bit more tender than normal over the past few months, but not really sore, nothing to complain about. But the last few days they have been substantially more sore and I can't figure out why. My last nursling weaned 8 months ago, so it's not that. DH isn't here to be bothering/playing with them. But they were really bothering me when I tried to sleep on my belly last night. It just seems odd that they are suddenly more sore. Any ideas why this might be? And I know it's not thrush (though I have felt thrushy at non-nursing times ever since I started nursing my first), I've been taking probiotics religiously and I don't eat too much sugar or refined flour. There's really no way I could be thrushy.

: They're getting bigger so they're peeling and itchy. They've been itchy for months and the whole breast has been sore off and on, but I just noticed nipple-specific soreness in the past couple of weeks. I heard Lansinoh can help and it makes a HUGE difference with the itchiness. It also seems like they're less sensitive when I use it.
I hope your soreness eases up soon.
