I may have to leave the club. . .
Last night I nursed Seamus to sleep (usually don't, but we have company and he was wired) and the contractions didn't stop.

Hey guys! I am now living proof that all that slow labor ahead of time does get things ready. My labor this time was a FRACTION of the time of my last.

What?!? I want details!!!!

And I do agree... if it weren't for all of my prodromal labor, I'm sure my labor would have been much longer than just 4 hours in active labor and 14 minutes pushing. I guess I'm glad for all the early action...

My labor was only a fraction of the time of my last too. Last time it was 37 hours in ACTIVE labor and 2 1/2 hours of pushing!!!

Yes, i've been wondering that too... position seems right on to me, but i would have expected his head to be lower by now (?) i can feel the top of his head just slightly below the top of my pubic bone, but he's going in at an angle.
I like the info on spinningbabies.com.

My babe keeps flipping back and forth from posterior and LOA and I wonder if that is what is causing my prodromal labor. I found some great info on "rotational positioning" on childbirthinternational.com You have to register as a user to access the info but it is sooo worth it. I've been able to turn mybaby back to LOA two times now. If "rotational positioning" wasn't trademarked I'd post the info here. They have lots of neat diagrams and info to help you find out what position your baby is in.

Let's enjoy this ride together.
Lets revel in the slow and steady changes.
Lets re-frame our perspective when we start to feel "done" or impatient.
Let's not feel badly for not having our babies "yet".

Thank you for this! This is why I come to MDC.

yeah, i'm wondering about my babe's positioning too. i will have to check out that site jilian, thanks for posting it. i am pretty sure my babe is loa, but i do think his/her head might be kind of crooked b/c my belly looks lower on one side than the other. humph.

i am sooooooooooo crabby today. it's nothing logical, just hormonal. today is my due date and there was no reason to think this baby would come before now. lilah was 3 days after her edd and noah was induced so who knows. i am just worn out, beat, DONE! i think one of the biggest things is that i am having such a hard time parenting my other two right now. we've only been in our new town for a month so we don't really know anybody and we don't have anything to do. they are bored. i am tired. not a good combination.

sorry for the downer post. a couple of days ago i was totally calm, baby will come when s/he is ready, all that. today? oh my gosh, just please give me my baby already!!!

i'm still having ctx in the afternoons through half of the night, and i'm very, very crampy. no other signs. i'm hoping for tonight? today, they've been closer together- like every 7 minutes. still not so intense that i have to stop what i'm doing though.
