book recommendation!

Have any of you read The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan? I'm in the middle of it, and I would love reactions from other readers. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. He goes through the history of food, follows food chains to their roots, addresses why we eat what we do, the adulteration of "organic", and alternatives. It is fascinating and he is an excellent writer.

I waited months to check it out of the library, and I was 80% through it when I left in on the train earlier this week.

I am ordering two copies from Amazon - one to return to the library, and one for myself.

It is such a good book. I Michael Pollan's writing - he is just so rational. I highly recommend the book.

Terrific book. I also loved his other one (well, one of his other ones) - The Botany of Desire. Amazing! Has anyone read his In Defense of Food?

I've got it. Read some of it, but then school reading took over. I'm starting it again soon. Love to hear what you have to say.
