Anyone else ready to decorate? - Page 2

My project is going to be making a little girls' room for DD. I'm going to redecorate one of our extra bedrooms for her.

The new baby will go into the unisex nursery that I put together when I was PG with DD. We want multiple children and don't plan to find out the sex with any of them so the nursery is pretty set.

Once DD is out of the nursery (and we keep going back and forth about getting her a crib for the new room, she'll only be 2) then I plan to clean everything from top to bottom, including the closet.

As with most of y'all, I'm not decorating a separate room either, but I like looking at cute blankets and things. My decorating motivation has taken itself out on the backyard - I've been cutting and chopping overgrowth frantically in preparation for planting fruit trees and a vegetable garden. It feels SO good to get out there and make progress. I just envision the rugrats enjoying the yard, and I can go for hours. Yesterday was all blackberry brambles (and I have the scratches to prove it!), and today will be...probably more blackberry brambles. Sigh.

Yep- Another one that just wants to get "ready" although I don't know how much decorating we'll do. I just bought new sheets for our bed, I guess that counts since we co-sleep! We'll find out in about a month what this baby is, then we have to decide what we want to do. The baby will be in our room for a while, DD is still in with us most nights. We're going to borrow a co-sleeper and I'm on the lookout for a changing table, but maybe we'll just use the bed again like we did with DD.

If it's a boy we'll probably set up a "big girl" room for DD in what is now my office and move my computer to what is now the office/DDs "room." Those curtains from Ikea are beyond adorable! Our closest Ikea is 2 hours away (which KILLS me because I've always lived within an hour of at least one Ikea!) but I love their stuff. DD needs a new dresser and I guess we'll need another for this babe.

I'm trying SO hard not to think too much about any of this until after the u/s. It's so much fun though! I have an outlet that helps, SIL is pregnant with her first and while they are open to co-sleeping, she is SO excited about the whole nursery "theme" thing

ahhh...backyard? vegetable garden? In my wildest dreams. Seriously. I'd give almost anything for a house with a yard for my child to run around in. One day....

Same here. I am looking very deliberately for some cute things I REALLY like.
Also, I have been too sick to garden this spring and unfortunately the weeds are literally as high or higher than my flowers, plants and bushes!!

I plan to get the family involved in another month or so to really pull some weeds and help me in the garden. Then I am hoping to really get into it again late in the season.

Out here in CA we have things blooming for quite a while, so I will be sure to pay attention to some great fall annuals so the baby is born in beauty. Not being able to tend my plants has been really sad for me. We have a beautiful (small) yard that I put a ton of work into last year that now looks overgrown and awful.

We only have pumpkins planted in a tiny patch. No veggies or anything. Someday. Someday.
