Cute maternity clothes...

At Kohls! They have a decent selection- more than any of the other (not exclusively maternity) stores I went to. They are kinda expensive but their sales and clearance are good. I think all their stuff is from Mothering.... just wanted to give you all the heads-up!

Yes, you can get them online, too, if you don't have one close by or would be okay not trying them on first (you can return to a store, too). My mom has a Kohl's card so she gets all of the coupons in the mail for % off days and stuff. We're gonna go! They're called Oh Baby! by Motherhood. Looks like nice stuff. Also, Old Navy has some cheap things but mostly you can only find them online if you aren't near a huge ON.

Our Old Navy is lousy for maternity. I was disappointed. I was hoping to find some cheap clearance but all they had in clearance was size xs and sweaters. Dang.

My big problem is, I have a very large, colorful tattoo on my right bicep so it looks really silly if I wear printed shirts. All the ones I really loved at Kohls were printed... Everything is so cute though- much better than the stuff I see at Goodwill (a' la 1985- Winnie the Pooh button down denim shirts and flowered mumus....) :

I was reeeeeally hard pressed to find cute short sleeve shirts with Titus. Most department stores have the sign saying "maternity" and it takes up more square footage than the rack containing the clothes.

Maisie- I don't know your feelings about Walmart, but I just got a fairly cute plain white shirt (and other solid colors) that I'm going to attempt to embroider. It was $4!

If you have a nice Goodwill, just cruise thru the regular shirts and look for the long ones hanging down. A lot of maternity gets misplaced and are thus a dollar or more less!

Hilarious! I get such a picture in my head when I read this. Precisely why I've stayed away from thrift store maternity sections. Actually though, at my goodwill I found some pretty tunics that were in the regular shirt section that will work nicely, and my mom in Florida found some Pea in the Pod stuff at her favorite thrift store that still had the hundred dollar price tags on them! So I guess it never hurts to look...

I bought some jeans at Babystyle, but only because they were half off and when you bought one item you got ANOTHER item (even clearance) half-off as well (a mother's day sale). And H&M has some cute things, if you're lucky to be close to one, I was in Boston last weekend and found some super cute cargo pants with a rolldown waist.

I just ordered some other jeans online from Old Navy, as well as a sweater, but as far as shirts go, I've been lucky to just find longer tees and flowy shirts in the regular non-maternity sections at Target, and I'm still wearing a lot of pre-pregnancy tops. I feel like this belly is never gonna pop!

i got some cute stuff from target off the sales rack....although it took a long time to go through all the mismatched crap (jr's booty shorts, bikinis, etc....)

sometimes plus size work out clohtes like yoga pants work good...

i have found some GREAT scores at thrift stores....and also on the trading post here....esp if you want something specific....you can post a request and get good responses.

oh and sometimes a mumu is ALL i want...it does not feel sexy maybe, but in the heat of a southern summer when your skin is all stretched, sometimes there is nothing more appealing.

True dat!!! I was given a sort of house coat/pajamas that look like something my grandmother would wear at my bridal shower as a joke. I kept it because I thought it would make a good smock for messy crafty projects. Tell you what, when it's 114 outside and you're 7 months prego, an old school pearl-snap mumu with strawberries on the lapel is just the thing

I am seeing myself in a floral housecoat from Woolworth's. HAHA! I am definately going back to Goodwill on Monday. We have lots of Goodwills and maternity/kids resale stores around here so I am bound to find something. I have tons of maternity tee shirts from last time so my big thing is bottoms. I don't know why I have it in my head that I need alot. I have a pair of black dress pants, a pair of capri jeans, 2 pairs of jean shorts, 2 pairs of overalls, some dresses...

But heck, I deserve something new!

Yesterday, I found a few things really cheap at Burlington coat factory. The shirts I got were were $8.99 and $9.99. The pants were also $9.99.

It seems like everywhere I go, almost everything is sleeveless, skirts/dresses very short, or tops very low cut. I am a modest dresser. Does anyone else have this problem? It also seems like everything is so casual. I can't seem to find modest stuff for church.

I'm a pretty modest dresser too. I have found good luck with plain Old Navy and Gap T shirts on Ebay. I have gotten a bunch NWT for pretty cheap. I second the TP as well, I have picked up some nice items from there as well.

I forgot about Burlington Coat Factory. I am a modest dresser too- I don't like any leg showing (my legs are hideous) and I am paranoid about people looking down my shirt I am going to look for some empire waist shirts in the regular aisle of the thrift store. They were in style not long ago and the selection may be better.

GooeyRN, I got alot of maternity tee shirts at Old Navy- just plain cotton ones. I don't know if they are too casual for church but they are modest and comfy.

I've mostly been wearing Modbe and Shade shirts so far- they are extra long and have a nice high neckline. So, not too revealing, nice and soft and stretchy! Shade has actual maternity tops, but even their regular tops will work, I think, especially those I bought a little big. They are a little pricey, but they have GREAT sales pretty regularly. I don't think I've paid more than maybe $9 for any one thing, and most have been around $5.
