Its time

I started having sporadic, but painful contrax last night. I'm losing my mucus plug in bits today everytime I go to the bathroom, there is more. My cervix is definetely dilating. I don't think I'm that good at checking my cervix, so I'm not sure, but the loss of the plug tells me I'm dilating. I also feel like I'm leaking. I'm not sure if I'm leaking fluid or pee (honestly). But I just can't seem to stay dry. Maybe its just a big increase in cervical mucus.

And when DH gets home from work at noon, I've decided that I'm ready to start "inducing" my labor.

I know that she'll come when she's ready - but in my view that also means that if I induce contractions that if she's not ready it won't work.

Having said that. I woke up this morning and said in my sleep deprived/crazy state that she would be born soon. I just know its time.

My plan is as follows:

1. Go for a walk right now, I'm hoping for an hour. But its already 10 a.m. and it gets pretty hot here. Maybe I should drive to the mall to walk there.

2. I think when DH gets home I'm leaving DS with him and going to get a pedicure. Maybe the foot massage/accupressure will bring on some contractions. Or maybe I'll just convince DH to do a foot massage.

3. I'll try to convince him to have sex with me (for like the 27th time this week).

4. After we have sex, we'll go off roading.

5. I'll eat something spicy or with tons of basil/oregano. Not sure what yet. Can't stomach eggplant.

Actually I really just think that once I start walking, sex, off roading and foot massage that my labor will start. I'm editing to take out the more invasive induction methods. I'm not ready to go for nipple stimulation, herbs or castor oil. I'm just 40 weeks. I'm saving that stuff to prevent a medical induction.

I'm just hoping that *deciding* to do the easy stuff (walking, foot massage, etc) that it will bring on my labor. Not because its a labor inducer so much, but because I'm decided that its OK for me to go into labor. No more fear.

Good luck!

I just ate about a third of a fresh pineapple, bought some blue cohosh and reupped my nettle tea, and started some vitamin c powder because if i don't poop soon I'm going to strangle somebody..... I'm just about 39 weeks, but I don't even want a MENTION of induction from my doc.

I need to have sex, too, but SO don't want to. Just physically not there right now.
