I've been wanting to read it to him (6) for years now, and started once when he was about three, but he wasn't ready for chapter read-alouds at that point. Tonight we were trying to decide what to read and I settled on All Things Great and Small and he whined and begged for Harry Potter. Tomorrow I will CERTAINLY indulge him, since James Harriot seems to be a little too much for him right now

YIPEE!!! I'm so excited. Maybe there's hope that he'll read something besides Magic Tree House books one day after all. (not that Magic Tree House books are bad, but man...he goes through them!
