My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
To anyone looking for a carrier, BECO is the brand!
I recently had purchased the Gemini, great carrier! It has everything you will ever need and want, its ergonomic, comfy, organic, made...
so we went to see shrek this weekend---my 4 y/o wanted to know what fiona was doing with the bottle, shouldn't shrek give the baby a bottle if fiona wasn't home, as we do with ebm for ds it would have been nice to see bfing promoted in a big film
There was a thread about this about a week ago...maybe in a different forum? I *think* the consenous was that ogres are probably not mammals...therefore, no breastmilk.
Even still, I agree with you. Would it have been so hard to show her nursing at least once?
I just wanted to add that according to my DH (how he knows this is beyond me) Ogres are actually mammals...Couldn't tell you how he came to that conclusion, but his thoughts on Fiona nursing are b/c perhaps she didn't recieve much support in the breast feeding triplets situation...my DH is kinda a geek!
we just saw this last night and i was coming to post on it. The 11 yr old that i nanny was very dissapointed about the bottle feeding thing. She said "I loved that movie but i didn't like the part where the babies got bottles, ogres are mammals (don't know how she knows that) and fiona has boobs." the 8yr old that i nanny pipes in w/ "maybe she didn't have enough milk for triplets" and she responds w/ "well it's supply and demand and if she nursed them all the time she would produce plenty of milk" They held this cinversation outside of the therater where we had a host of listeners. little lactivists in training.:
Yes it's a bottle. BUT it's a bottle of whatever comes out of slugs when you squeeze them and an eyeball. So while, no it's not breastmilk, I think we can agree that it's definitely ogre appropriate food.
The baby and their care play a very small role in this movie...according to the review I read Shrek as a dad to the triplets will be the focus of movie #4 due out in 2010 (I think it's 2010).
She had triplets? Gee, thanks for spoiling the whole movie. I'm probably not going to see it until it's available on DVD.
Umm, the triplets aren't exactly the huge plot twist. I haven't seen the movie, but I've seen more of the marketing than I really wanted to, and they're the main focus of it. I'm fairly certain there's much more to the movie than the triplets.
And please, God, let's not have this thread go the way of the last one!

heh, I said in another thread that they probably did it just so they could show zucchini bottles and green milk... I wasn't far off I guess

Cameron Diaz mentioned in some interview that ogers have litters and I am thinking, shouldn't she have more than two boobs? Then DH points out the talking donkey and blasts my logic all to heck.
