At 5:55 pm last night, in my living room, I had a 9 pound 8 oz, 21 1\2 inch baby boy named Clay Hamish-Muir He is amazing, nurses like such a champ, is totally mellow, a good sleeper, and just beautiful!

15 hours of labor, 10 minutes of pushing! He was born in his bag of waters

Oh--I am so glad you posted about your birth. I have been thinking about you so much, wondering how things were progressing and if your mom was still in town or had had to leave yet...my mom still has not flown in yet.

Congrats on your wonderful birth!!! Cant wait to hear more!!

He is amazing - he is nothing like our first who needed top be held 24 hours and nursed no-stop! He is so incredibly mellow, it is shocking to us both. My mom is still here until tomorrow and then she will go home for a few weeks and return.

My SIL was here for the birth and cut the cord (she had come home from Spain the night before - we joked that I was waiting for her). Our family all came over when he was a couple hours old (basically as soon as we got all the blood cleaned up, me showered, and the house looking reasonable enough for my squimish brother ).

I feel great. He came out so wonderfully, 2 stitches but no real damage. I passed a ton of bloos right away and got a little lightheaded but now I am hardly bleeding after less than 24 hours, so no complaints.
