NEVERMIND! I don't know how I missed the thread that's only like four below this! I swear I looked for recent posts before I posted this
I'm leaving for a dentist appt in 30 minutes. I thought I had my old xrays from 1.5 years ago when I last went for a cleaning. However I can't find them now. So I am afraid they are going to want to take xrays (it's a new dentist). Is there any reason they need to do this? I've already had my wisdom teeth out. I have no reason to suspect any issues (teeth feel fine, etc), I just want a cleaning. I have insurance so I am sure they will want to do everything possible just to bill the ins co. I do not want flouride and have no problem refusing that (I can just say I drink tap water it's not necessary etc - but do they even offer it for adults these days?) but I do not know anything about xrays. It just occurred to me to worry about this now. Can I just say "I might be pregnant" (not true but they don't know that) to avoid the discussion if they try to push the issue?
Thanks!
