Question for midwifes out there!!!

Hi there! I have a question!!

I have had 2 csections and am now looking to vba2c at home. I have found a few great midwifes around here. I actually have an appointment with one next week, but am afraid to tell her about my bicornuate uterus, because of something another midwife said. Now, I dont think I am high risk, I will tell you about my reasons for sections in a minute, but I am just wondering if she has other reasons for not taking me or if she is really concerned (which she shouldnt be).

So My sections were because my first was twins. My daughter was head down, and my son was breech, and my ob was going to flip him, but chickened out at the last minute and had me do a csection. I made it to 40 weeks 1 day. I was finger tip dialated. Perfect twin pregnancy. 7 lbs 1 oz, and 6 lbs 6 oz. Nothing scary. We found out I had a biconuate uterus at the birth, with a wall dividing it in half, with a twin on each side. They grew beutifully, no preterm labor (no labor at all!), head down presentation of one baby (and both babies at 34 weeks, then they flipped again!).

So I got pregnant again when they were 3 months, with 1 this time, and found a vbac friendly ob. I was dialted to a 1 and 50 percent effaced at 39 weeks 5 days when I went in to the ER because I didnt feel my son move. They tried to induce, but his heart rate dropped so it ended in another csection. He was head down, and at -2 station, so he was lower. He weighed 8 lbs 6 oz, even with the cord around his neck twice, and a true knot in the cord.

When talking to her on the phone, she seemed positive and optimistic and even seemed to wanna take me, then seemed skidish about me after we met. So when she called today and said "Well, we are afriad of preterm labor, and breech presentation" I was like WHAT? I have 2 pregnancys, one of TWINS, with no preterm labor. And both pregnancys were head down. And my kids were separated by a wall, which usually means death, or very very small, and they were HUGE. And my son was HUGE and head down, and on time. I just dont get it. Seems to me just because a book says if you have a uterus like this, x will happen, shouldnt take presidence of 2 previous pregnancys. Shouldnt the proof be in the pie? lol. I think she may not want to take me for other reaons (which I would rather just hear sorry, I dont think we are compatible), since it seems silly to think im going into preterm labor, when my twins were late....

Thanks in advance for your response! This is important to me, and i do not want to be cut again. I am thankful for it for my son, but was nieve with the twins. Thanks so much.

share your info- if your midwife gets a copy of your records it will be in there- things I would want to know- placenta placement- higher chance of placenta accreta in vbac- if the placenta is not over the uterine scar far better-

I completly understand the placenta placement. I would want an ultrasound to make sure that is in place. I will have a section if need be for the placement of that. Assuming that is ok, is it necessary to think I am going to have preterm labor, and a breech, if I have had 2 normal fine pregnancys"?

I am not a midwife, but just wanted to offer some support. I would be likely to suspect other issues here. Sounds like she was not the midwife for you.

The history you gave does not seem to support the worry of preterm labor or breech presentation. You should share the information. Being sure to share your stories as well. Also share with her the knowledge you do have about the subject. She may feel more comfortable with your situation, knowing that you are educated and comfortable with it as well.

Good luck to you, and hope the interview goes well!
