Could this be it?

Of course now that I am posting a thread about it, it won't be.

Buuuuut anyway, after several bouts of "practice labor" I am wondering if this is the real deal. Ever since my son's soccer game ended, about 3.5 hours ago now, I've been having regular contractions lasting anywhere from 3-6 minutes apart. The pattern keeps changing, they'll be a minute long and 5 minutes apart for a while, and then 30 seconds long and 3 minutes apart, and then back to 5 minutes apart... so I don't know. They are more intense than the previous "false labor" contractions have been and they are not stopping even though I have been walking around, drinking herbal tea (RRL of course!) etc. I called my doula to give her a heads up, am having a high-protein snack, and am going to try to get some sleep. I really hope this one doesn't fizzle out too. Come on, baby!

Update... lost some pink-tinged mucus plug and spent about an hour in the bath and they are still coming on strong. I think this might be it!

I totally sat at the computer at 3 am Sunday night, pretty sure it was IT, but started to post and couldn't do it for fear of jinxing myself. After that I was too busy lol. Hopefully you're too busy too!!

Update -- am sitting here with baby Gus parked on my lap. He was born early yesterday morning after what for me was a whirlwind 9-hour labor (my other labors were 24 hours and 3 days!) and we are now home. It was a fabulous birth and I will post the lengthy birth story later once I"m up to it. Thanks for the well wishes, everybody!
