Check your child's finger length...

to see how they will do on their SATs. Yep, I guess there is scientific evidence that compares ring and index finger lengths to determine their strengths on the SAT.

What will they study next.

that's cool....i swear it's my life's mission (ok...one of them) to raise a compassionate, loving, caring, attentive (etc.) boy who will stay that way as a grown up man. Now, I have to check finger length and pray for that little bit of extra estrogen, I guess.:

We all have long ring fingers. Geniuses I guess, right?:

Honestly, what a silly study. Now if they come out saying nose size is good, I'm on it!

This just came up on another board that I frequent.
For some reason, it makes my crack up!

uhm, well, my ring fingers are definitely longer than my index fingers, but unlike their test results I had to work really hard to get through the math portion of my SATs, while in the English/reading comp section I only missed one question. So, I guess it's not a fool-proof indicator.

Weird!
My ring finger is longer than my index finger and I scored higher on math by 10 points (710 vs. 700). It doesn't really predict SAT performance-- just whether they'll score higher on math or verbal. They could score high on both or low on both either way.
My partner and toddler both have longer ring fingers, too. My 4 yr. old isn't home right now but I'd bet he's the opposite!

How big a difference are you guys seeing between your ring and index fingers? I've looked at mine, DP's, and the kids', and ours are all too close in size to decide for sure which is longer just by eyeballing it. (But it looks like my index finger may be slightly longer, and I did better on the verbal part of the SAT. And it looks like DP's ring finger is slightly longer, and he did better on the math.)

My partner, toddler and I all have MUCH longer ring fingers.

Hmm, my ring finger is significantly longer than my index finger, and I've never been any good at math but have always loved language.

All my fingers are short and stubby, and I'm a dumbutt!

What shocks me is that there are people with ring fingers longer than their middle finger. I never noticed that!

I know! I was surprised to see them on my very own hands -- if anyone had asked me to tell them without looking, I'd have said my fingers, in order of length, were: middle, index, ring, pinky. But it's not so -- strange!

Wait until they try to connect it with nose picking...
