Anyone here have experience with both? I've narrowed my distance learning midwifery options down to these two. I, of course, like the smaller price tag with MTB ... but I am wondering if it's a "you get what you pay for" kind of thing. I've heard of well-qualified midwives who prepared for the NARM through MTB/apprenticeship with no problems, though I hear SO many people say that AAMI is the most thorough preparation for midwifery available. I know that either course will only be as good as the time and energy I put into it.
I'm moving to Tennessee over the summer, so I'd be close enough to attend the MTB weekend classes and skills weekends with no issue. So that's a plus, there ... though there are no required attendance classes with AAMI.
I guess I'm just looking for some input from those who have BTDT, or who are more experienced and wiser ... or even just someone who has a definite opinion either way.
I'm really conflicted.
