Do you PM people online who have said they'll circ?

For as much as I try to advocate to people on the other board that I'm very active on, and have informational links in my siggy (which is VERY rare over there), I haven't had much success when I've affirmatively gone out and PMed mamas who are expecting and have stated somewhere that they plan to circ. These are otherwise very AP parents

Do you actively contact people to try to educate them, and, if so, what have you found to be effective in terms of style, content, etc.?

Are you not allowed to write about circumcision on other boards???? I guess I'm just feeling that people should be challenged if they are planning to circ. because once you really know the facts you realize that it's just plain wrong. I wish somebody had challenged me when I was pregnant...

It's not that it's not allowed.....it is discussed every now and then. My question goes more towards "how do you approach someone who is going to circ to try to persuade them not to without making them shut their ears."

I don't anymore because in the past I have been accused of harassment just for PMing links to websites and nothing more. I just post out in the open now.

In the past, with moms who I've been aquainted with, I have emailed asking them if they would like some links to research/information. I've also asked them on occaison the reasons that they want to have it done.

i post about it openly...but have also pm'd moms who state that they are questioning, or that they are having a boy...and i have asked them to please think about the decision, and have let them know that i have information to pass onto them if they are interested...some respond, some dont...
