I am planning on taking a doula certification course in the fall.
I like to over-do it when it comes to reading/research but I am poor so I checked my very wealthy University's library and there is exactly ONE doula resource, a video called: Woman to woman: Doula assisted childbirth by by AmĂnata MaraĂ«sa (anyone heard of this)?
My university has a HUGE medical school...I wonder if the lack of resources is related. As a point of contrast, there is no archaeology program and yet we have 8000+ resources.
I know there are a lot of reaons we might not have doula books, but the library does have a pretty good selection of other "non-academic" books.
