Could I use old fuzzi bunz to make a wetbag?

I have a ton of very old unusable as diapers FB. The outer is great the fleece not so much. Could I make a patchwork wetbag out of the outer FB material? Would the seams leak? What kind of thread would be best?

If you use polyester thread (not cotton, it will wick) and wash and dry the bag on hot after sewing it, the seams shouldn't leak, or any leaking should be minimal. Drying on hot will re-seal the PUL around the puncture holes from sewing.

I'd like to hear how it works if you do try it, this would be a good use for PUL scraps

My small wet bag (for outings) is made out of old pul scraps and it works great! I had to attempt it twice as I didnt know about poly thread back then:
