possible mercury exposure in preschool?

Hi everyone,

I'm considering enrolling my son in a preschool that used to be a home dental office. They've had some renovations done since it was a dental office. For example, the floors look new. Is it possible that there's mercury hanging around in there? Is there some time of cleaning that should be done to the space to remove the mercury? I'm not sure what questions, if any, I should be asking the director about this. I already have moderately elevated mercury levels and am nursing my now 28 month, so am very concerned that I not expose him to any further mercury.

Thanks.

I'm not sure. Maybe look at contacting the EPA to explain the situation and request testing is done on this facility since it will have young children present for several hours per day. The director probably doesn't know about mercury contamination and toxicity.
